The Investment Counsel Company (ICC) is an independent investment consulting firm. Its clients range from large corporations, professionals and business owners to high net-worth families and individuals. ICC’s desire was to create a transparent office that reflects its brand of professionalism, respectable, integrity and transparency with its clients.
After working through several new plans with other firms, ICC was not happy with the direction of the office plan. Not only was ICC planning on expanding its office personnel but it wanted to be able to hold board meetings and special events for 30-40 people which could not occur within its current space.
In addition to the Board Room, the project included reception and lobby, two conference rooms, offices, workstations, break room and storage.
ICC reached out to LGA to redesign its existing 3,500 square foot offices with an additional 2,500 square feet of adjacent space. Through careful listening and a clear understanding of ICC’s project goals, LGA created a plan which met all of ICC’s needs and desires. At the center of the office is a board room that seats more than 30 people and will be used for special presentations and receptions for clients. The room is anchored by a table replicating an airplane wing with a glass top. The light fixtures and soffits blend into the theme of flight. The office is constructed predominantly of glass walls and doors where transparency is apparent.
Staff areas are a combination of refinished workstations and private offices. The existing reception counter was refinished and back credenza cabinets were added. The lighting highlights the glass walls and the fine artwork adorning the space reflects a gallery appearance throughout.
